nissequogue river preserve

We purchased one of the last remaining estate lots on the Nissequogue River and saved it from future subdivision. Over 5 acres of wetlands and forest with century old trees and abundant wildlife including Red-tailed hawks have been preserved. This land is now Suffolk County Parkland. We are working to preserve more land in this area.

First to first preserve

This was the preservation project that ultimately led to the formation of the Island Preservation Project. Multiple parcels were acquired, combined and then donated to the Town of Smithtown for parkland. This park will ultimately function as a trail and biking path. It will serve as a link between disconnected areas.
